This 8 days tour takes you to 4 of Uganda's national parks for game drives, boat cruises and primate (chimpanzee and gorilla) tracking. Your visit will also include a community visit around one of the protected areas to experience one of Uganda's cultures.

Days (8)

  1. Arrival At Entebbe International Airport
    • Day 1

    Upon arrival at Entebbe International airport and passing through the immigration process, you will be welcomed by our safari driver who will, brief you about this 8 days tour. He will then drive you to your the booked accommodation.

  2. Transfer To Murchison Falls National Park (travel Time: +6hrs)
    • Day 2

    Today you will be picked at your lodge after early breakfast and start off your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and lunch en route. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, check in at your lodge, relax and enjoy the lodge facilities as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.

  3. Morning Game Drive And Afternoon Boat Cruise
    • Day 3

    You will have an early morning cup of coffee before starting off the morning game drive at 6:30am. You will roam the park for about 3 hours in search of your safari favorites like lions, elephants, buffaloes and more besides. Return to your lodge to refresh and have breakfast. Relax at the lodge as you wait for lunch and thereafter go for an afternoon boat cruise to the great Murchison falls. Basically, this 2 hour launch trip upstream presents an astonishing display of wildlife and culminates with the memorable frontal view of the falls. Murchison Falls is characterized by eternal war between rock and water. Disembark from the launch and hike to the top of the falls. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.   4. Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park (travel Time: +4hours)
    • Day 4

    After breakfast, you set off to Kibale National park. Drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside; and passed traditional homesteads, roadside markets, and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. A stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater lake-poked landscape and the fabled “Mountains of the Moon”. Enjoy the scenic drive and upon reaching Kibale, you will check in at your lodge, have dinner and rest till the following day. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

  5. Chimpanzee Tracking And Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park
    • Day 5

    You will have breakfast at the lodge and then go for your 2-3 hour chimpanzee tracking adventure. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to track man’s closest relative the chimps. It is a thick jungle with a towering canopy. In the forest you will also see a variety of other primate species such as L'Hoest monkey, black and white colobus monkey, the blue monkey among others, in addition to a colorful variety of birds and butterfly species. After tracking the chimpanzees, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon reaching, you will check in at your booked accommodation and have lunch and go for the famous Kazinga Channel boat cruise. This two hour boat trip is a worthwhile opportunity to see water birds, hippo, Buffalo, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. This trip also enables visitor chance to see a great variety of water birds.   6. Morning Game Drive And Transfer To Bwindi (travel Time: 3 Hours)
    • Day 6

    Begin your day with a cup of coffee after which, you will go for the early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile. These areas provide the best lion tracking experience and a great opportunity to wildlife-focused photographers. You will drive through the park’s immense beauty of a blend of contrasting wildlife environments. Expect to encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs and so much more. You will also find lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and then proceed to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector. The Ishasha sector the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and this is where you might find the tree climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi, enjoy the 2 hour scenic drive through greenery and villages. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, have lunch and go for the Batwa community experience. The Batwa are former inhabitants of Bwindi Forest. They will demonstrate how they survived in the forest alongside the mountain gorillas plus so much more. Return to you lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

  7. Gorilla Trekking
    • Day 7

    This is the day for you to meet the gentle giants face to face in their thick jungle home. After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing before starting off your gorilla trekking adventure. Gorilla trekking starts at 8:00am and may last for 1-6 hours depending on how deep the gorillas have moved into the forest. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour (as recommended by scientists) to observe them, take photos and video recordings. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

  8. Return To Entebbe Airport And Departure (travel Time: 8hrs)
    • Day 8

    After breakfast, you will start off your journey back to Entebbe for your departure flight. You will make a stopover at one of the roadside markets. You will make a stopover at the Igongo cultural museum and also at the equator markings. Have lunch en-route and proceed to Entebbe for you onward flight. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
