Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, you will clear with the immigrations office. After this, you will be welcomed by our driver guide who will brief you about your 10 Days Uganda Safari. He will then transfer you to the hotel for relaxation and an overnight stay. Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner
Today you will be picked at your lodge after your morning breakfast and start off your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. You will make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and lunch en route. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, check in at your lodge, relax and enjoy the lodge facilities as you wait for dinner and overnight stay. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
You will have an early morning cup of coffee before starting off the morning game drive at 6:30am. You will roam the park for about 3 hours in search of your safari favorites like lions, elephants, buffaloes and more besides. Return to your lodge to refresh and have breakfast. Relax at the lodge as you wait for lunch and thereafter go for an afternoon boat cruise to the great Murchison falls. Basically, this 2-hour launch trip upstream presents an astonishing display of wildlife and culminates with the memorable frontal view of the falls. Murchison Falls is characterized by eternal war between rock and water. Disembark from the launch and hike to the top of the falls. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. After breakfast, you set off to Kibale National park. Drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside; and passed traditional homesteads, roadside markets and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. A stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater lake-poked landscape and the fabled “Mountains of the Moonâ€. Enjoy the scenic drive and upon reaching Kibale, you will check in at your lodge, have dinner and rest till the following day. Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Spend your morning tracking chimpanzees in their natural habitat. In the forest you will also see a variety of other primate species such as L’Hoest monkey, black and white colobus monkey, the blue monkey among others, in addition to a colorful variety of birds and butterfly species. The afternoon will be for birding at Bigodi wetland Sanctuary. The sanctuary is home to 200 Bird species and is a perfect site for the bird watching travelers. Common bird species sighted in Bigodi Sanctuary include the great blue turaco, Papyrus Gonolek, Kingfishers, Waxbills, Cuckoos, Weavers, Hornbills and many others. You will have breakfast at the lodge and embark on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your booked accommodation. Spend the afternoon on a leisurely crater drive as you explore the park’s diverse habitats. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Meal Plan: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Begin your day with a cup of coffee after which, you will go for the early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile. These areas provide the best lion tracking experience and a great opportunity to wildlife-focused photographers. Expect to encounter elephants, buffalo, water bucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs lakes and a variety of birds. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax as you wait to have lunch. After lunch, a two hour boat trip awaits you to view water birds and wildlife lining the banks of the famous Kazinga channel. Expect to see resident hippos, crocodiles, visiting Buffaloes, Kobs, Elephants, warthogs etc. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
With memories of the previous day, enjoy your breakfast and proceed to Ishasha. You will drive along the deep and wide dry craters that are occupied by savanna grasses and acacia. The drive takes you through the unique western rift valley escarpment and the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha sector) where you will take on yet another game drive in search of tree climbing lions. Thereafter proceed to Bwindi, the journey takes about 2 hours but driving through interesting features. Bwindi is home to half of the world’s remaining rare mountain gorillas. Today you will meet the gentle giants face to face in their thick jungle home. After breakfast, you will drive to Bwindi Headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing before starting off your gorilla trekking adventure. Gorilla trekking starts at 8:00am and may last for 1-6 hours depending on how deep the gorillas have moved into the forest. Upon meeting the gorillas, you will be allowed one hour (as recommended by scientists) to observe them, take photos and video recordings. Return to your lodge for and later in the afternoon go for the Bakiga and Batwa community visit to learn about their traditional ways of life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. After breakfast, start off your journey back to Entebbe for your onward flight. You will make a stopover at the Igongo cultural center to briefly learn about the Ankole and Hima culture. You may make another stopover at the equator markings for photography and buying yourself some souvenirs. Proceed on your journey to Entebbe airport where you will be dropped off for your onward flight. Meal plan: Breakfast and lunch
